Founded in 2012 to support the organization of the Humani’Trail in Les Diablerets — a charity race in favor of education in Nepal — Helvetica Trail has, for several years, been supporting the Dénivelé Positif association in the implementation of the Montreux Trail Festival, particularly in course design, communication, and volunteer management.

The Commune of Montreux is, of course, at the heart of the event, having supported it since 2016 with the ambition to create a landmark sporting occasion. The goal is also to position the city on the outdoor scene, thanks to its iconic landscapes that rival those of the best alpine resorts.
The municipality of Bad Ragaz is located in the canton of St. Gallen, just a few kilometers from the Austrian border. It lies at the heart of the Heidiland region and is hosting the Grand Départ of Crossing Switzerland for the very first time. We would like to thank the authorities of the spa town for the warm welcome we have received, and we look forward to beginning this new adventure at the foot of the Pizol massif.
Montreux Vevey Tourisme, operating under the Montreux Riviera brand, encompasses 16 municipalities stretching from Lutry to Villeneuve. Within this area lie some of the region’s most iconic sites, including Chillon Castle, the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyards, and Chaplin’s World by Grévin — to name just a few. The Montreux Trail Festival has a positive impact on local tourism, welcoming participants from around fifty countries.
The “Fonds du sport vaudois” Foundation manages and redistributes the Vaud canton’s share of the annual profits from the Loterie Romande allocated to sport. It contributes to the funding of grassroots and amateur sports, while also supporting elite and international-level sport.
